We did the West Side Story tour, visiting the western part of Iceland, and it was an amazing experience. Breathtaking landscapes, small villages rarely visited by tourists, great organization and a guide who's enthusiasm carries you away. The best choice if you want to feel the atmosphere and get a deeper knowledge of Iceland, not just run through the most touristic places. But be careful, it's addictive! Excellent stay at Laugarvatn, very clean and comfortable and great breakfast. But what really made this trip a success for me was the work of the AsbruTravel team, our guides Dan and Tudor. They were tireless in sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the places we visited and making sure our whole experience was exceptional. From transportation to in depth knowledge of the geography and history of Iceland, from rearranging the schedule so we could best take advantage of good weather to watching out for every participant on the more difficult hiking trails.
